Preview from Milan 1.

Four weeks to go for the largest design event in the world. The fair Salone del Mobile and the events in town called Fuorisalone. My plan is to do four previews for some fun things, so that you know what to look for. I will of course be there and write for magazines like Elle Decoration (Sweden) and Residence. @isaloniofficial

So, first batch of nice things.

1. Looks like Danish Georg Jensen wants to repeat what Marimekko did last year and open a temporary cafe. Looks nice. @georgjensen

2. New chairs by Alessandro Stabile for Zilio. @zilioaec

3. Frederic’s Biasi is on my radar. Here new tiles for Decoratori Bassanesi. @federicabiasistudio

4. Colour lovers at Draga & Aurel. Here they upcycle old vintage pieces from the 70s. @dragaandaurel

5. Established&Sons are back, back, back again. Here a new lamp from Nao Tamura. @establishedandsons

6. Isola Design District was eclectic last year. Lots of sustainability. Here is Yosuke Shimano. @isola.design @yosuke_shimano

7. And 8. I just liked this aesthetic. Looks super new. Especially the chair. I was emailing with the designer and everything is carved in wood. Amazing. By Arno Hoogland at Isola. @arnohoogland

9. I think I have seen this before - but still lovely. At Isola by Atelier Maree. @atelier_maree

10. Marimekko will do a collaboration with Laila Gohar. Woop woop. Super excited. @marimekko @lailacooks

12. Lara Bohinc for Uniqka. Loooook at that leather finish. Super strange and new. Love. @larabohinc @uniqka

We want peace. Enough of war. But I actually don’t see so much of peace in interior design. Some. A tiny bit. Some peace doves etc. Copies of Banksy…

Yesterday I had my Stora Trenddagen in Malmö. Around 100 people booked tickets to come an hear about the trends and behaviour we can expect for 2026 and forward. A super nice start for March.

Excited about trends for Christmas 2025? Too soon? I went to Frankfurt and scouted fun things at Christmasworld (@christmasworld.frankfurt ).

Santa is getting colorful - and muscular. Colour of the year is burgundy and we start to see a new super shiny surface. And pets. Millions of cats and dogs this year.

Department store Bon Marché is dedicating their store to pets and dogs. For those of you who have heard my trend report - yes, pets are huge.

Pic 9 - bacon flavoured frisbee. Strange but fun.

Pic 14 - of course you find fancy brands doing dog things. Here a water bowl by Baccarat. But you find leashes from APC, dog collars from Thom Browne and details by Ralph Lauren.

Pic 18 - you can come and get your portrait done. Book a time slot and sit with your dog. Fuuuuuuun.
