Today I will visit Swedish national tv channel TV4 to talk about how hyperrealism is coming to the fashion world. The conversation started with the selleri bag by Moschino but we also see pigeons, salmon and potato chips.

At around 6pm tonight. I will continue the conversation on radio tomorrow and see if we will see the same hyperrealism in interior design. As examples here a wig lamp by gnilmyd kcab, of course Seletti but also Gaetano Pesce and even IKEA that made easy chairs as books (design by Front). And teddy bear bed by Max Mara at their hotel.

Can you make design that is loved by everyone?

Svensk Form, Berghs School of Communication, Trendenser and I have started a course for design buyers. In this course we will talk about behaviour, ”do we need another chair?”, product safety, measurements and proportions of the human body, sustainability, the new regulations in EU - and fun things. We will have our own unique session at Stockholm Furniture Fair, talk about trends and visit exciting places.

The course is four months. You should be able to still work at a normal office while studying this course.

And this is a course for DESIGN BUYERS, not designers. And in Swedish in Stockholm.

Today at 10.30 I will head out to National Radio again to talk about trends. Today I will talk about the office. The other week was fair Orgatec (@orgatec)and everyone was talking about how to get staff back to the office.

Of course everything will get cosier. The cosier the better. But I think we will see a whole new evolution of kitchens and offices. Will the board meeting happen in the kitchen? Or will the conference room become a kitchen? Pic 1 is from Sedus.

Pic 2 is from the graduate show in Eindhoven. Office set that is also instruments?

Pic 3 - just quirky details as carrier of identity. I think we will see more of this.

Pic 4, 5 and 6. The thing you eat and drink at the office will become more important. It’s not about volume. It is more about curation. There is even a new term for people coming in to the office JUST for coffee. ”coffee badging”. What if the office has the best fruit basket? I mean, pink pinapple is trending according to @foodandfriends.se. Why not have that instead of bananas??

And finally pic 7. I think we will see more art in offices. Of course you can have fussball and basket ball courts but you want people to have a bit of quiet time at work. So art. I think we will see a strong evolution of art at offices.

Day two in Venice and at Biennale. Seven hours. Lots of really moving things like Taiwan, Poland (Ukraine) and Australia. Fun things, and of course quirky things. And some things I really didn’t understand. France???? But that’s fine. The Biennale is all wonderful anyway. And hanging out with these two have been amazing.

Snap shots from day one in Venice and the Biennale. As always information overload. First day was Arsenale. I liked Saudi Arabia with it’s installation on women’s rights. Benin and Senegal was beautiful. Italy and Lebanon was nice. But it was also interesting to see countries try to approach of minorities and inclusiveness, like China and Arab Emirates.

There were much talk about installations from Iceland, Malta and Argentine. But pretty lukewarm for me.
