A disco Christmas

For the last three or four years, I have been invited to make the official Christmas tree at the largest hotel in Stockholm. So again this year. And I decided to make it a bit of disco fun. Here is Christmas 2021.

This is not the first time I make enormous public trees. I have made the official Christmas tree at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, three years in a row. And this is my third or fourth year at Clarion Sign. Last year I did a theme about traveling. Yes, we were forced to stay at home but dreamt of travel. 2019 I did a tree with nostalgia focusing on minty green, red, beads and flower.

This year I went all in for a disco theme.

A starting point…

I deliberately picked a lot of whites. And larger bulbs. I wanted these to kind of shine as disco balls. Also the white metal makes me think of snow and snowflakes.

I found some fun tennisballs in neon yellow to add. Musical notes were included. Leopard ornament from last year’s travel theme worked well for the disco atmosphere.

You can find headphones and jewellry pieces from Rusta. Kind of lost things on a dance floor. Disco Santa, flamingo and rainbow from Plantagen.

One of my favourite supplier for Christmas ornaments is Norwegian-Estonian brand Shishi. Love their things. The notes are from them as all the strange shape, and also oversize stars. A lot of their things can be found at Julkulan.
